The Clean Cargo methodology for carbon dioxide emissions calculations has become the global
standard in the ocean container shipping sector. It is designed to help ocean freight carriers
track and benchmark their performance and easily report to customers in a standard format. It
also enables shipping customers to review and compare carriers’ environmental performance and
make informed buying decisions.
CCWG is powered by BSR, a global non-profit business network and consultancy dedicated to
sustainability. BSR collaborations bring together more than 400 companies, spanning multiple
